FSC recently had the privilege of being invited to use their services to do the hair and make-up of aerial dance performers. Aerial dance is similar to a circus performance but with it's own dance interpretations. Air Dance Bernasconi is a dance company based out of Baltimore, Maryland.

FSC students did their research and practice ahead of time to be sure their detailed make-up applications would turn out perfect on show day. It sure paid off at the show. One of the performers, Ann Behrends, said, "The make-up was over-the-top wonderful! Your students have no idea how good they are..." 

Jayne Bernasconi, Artist Director for Air Dance Bernasconi, was also impressed with the services of the students. "...we'd like to send a big thank you to you and your students for making us wild and beautiful for the Mardi Gras gig. Everyone loved their make-up and hair...thanks so much for your artistic talents!"

At FSC we feel it is important not only for the students to learn the basic skills necessary to pass their State Board Licensing Exam, but also to experience all of the different career pathways available to them with a cosmetology license. Students will be well rounded and have the opportunity to see numerous ways in which their cosmetology license can be used.
