Student activities will include guest speakers, Star Award (best attendance/top professional image), Clippers Award (students who receive letters from clients), community service, and field trips to local trade shows. Optional reinforcement instruction is by video and CD ROM located in the media center. Maximum classroom enrollment is 5 students per class.

-On-Time Completion Rate for students is calculated by the following methodology: Total number who graduated during 7/1/10-6/30/11 divided by the number who completed their program on or before their orginal contracted graduation date. -Please keep in mind that an On Time Completion rate consists of Graduates who complete their program on or before their original contracted graduation date. The Department of Education prohibits institutions from including in the On Time Completion rate, a graduate who may have taken a leave of absence, graduation was delayed due to school closings for bad weather, or changed their original enrollment schedule. Students who fall into this category, although they graduate, do not meet the definition of an on time completer/graduate and are not included in this rate. -150% of Normal Time is the acceptable maximum timeframe within the US Dept of Education regulations for a student to satisfactorily complete a program. Nail Technician Program 


This program consists of a student orientation session, theory class, demonstrations, and at the senior level includes "hands on" practical experience in the teaching facilities' clinic using the Milady’s Standard Nail Technician program.
The State of Maryland Board of Cosmetologists requires each student to complete 250 clock hours of instruction including "hands on" practice to be eligible to take the Maryland State Board Nail Technician exam for licensure as a nail technician.
